Our History

Nazaree Full Gospel Church School, a cornerstone institution in its community, stands as a testament to the power of faith-driven service and the profound impact of early childhood education. Over the years, the daycare has not only supported working families and their children but has also become a beacon of hope, nurturing, and learning. Its origins, development, and continued success are intertwined with the vision and mission of Nazaree Full Gospel Church, an assembly devoted to holistic ministry and generational uplift. The roots of Nazaree Full Gospel Church School can be traced back to the early initiatives of Bishop Joseph D. Phillips - addressing not just spiritual needs, but also the social, educational, and economic well-being of the congregants and the surrounding community. The leadership recognized that many families in the area, especially those with working parents or guardians, required reliable, high-quality childcare that aligned with their values. This same vision is being supported and implemented by the current pastor, Wesley D. Davis Jr. Seeing the increasing necessity for safe, enriching environments for young children, the church’s elders and community leaders began to discuss the idea of opening a daycare as early as the 21st century. Their vision was clear: to create a nurturing space where children could grow spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually, setting a strong foundation for lifelong learning and faith.

Our Philosophy

Nazaree’s philosophy for each day is rooted in the belief that every child is a unique creation of God, wonderfully made and deeply loved. We strive to align our practices with both biblical truths and recognized standards in early childhood education, ensuring that each child’s spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development is nurtured with intentionality and care. Grounded in Scripture, we embrace the calling to guide children in wisdom and understanding (Proverbs 22:6), laying a foundation of faith and character that will shape their futures. Through developmentally appropriate activities, play-based learning, and meaningful interactions, we encourage curiosity, creativity, and a sense of wonder about God’s world. Each day is designed to cultivate essential skills, positive relationships, and a deep appreciation for God’s continual presence in all aspects of life.

Mission Statement

The mission of our faith-based institution is to cultivate lifelong disciples rooted in spiritual growth, personal responsibility, and academic excellence. We are dedicated to nurturing each individuals commitment to faith, character, and purpose, empowering them to become leaders who positively impact their communities and the world. Through Christ-centered teaching and mentorship, we strive to foster an environment where discipline and integrity flourish, preparing every student to
thrive in all aspects of life.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be a beacon of hope and transformation, guiding individuals and families to embrace disciplined lives anchored in faith. We seek to inspire our community to pursue holistic success - spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically - while continually growing in devotion, service, and leadership for the glory of God.

Statement of Faith
  1. We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While unique in their functions, the Trinity operates in perfect unity and absolute harmony. He is infinite in power, limitless in wisdom, and holds supreme sovereignty over all of creation (Matt. 28:19; John 10:30; I John 5:7-8).
  2. We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16). Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Is. 7:14; Matt. 1:18; Luke 1:35), He exists as the perfect God-Man—fully divine and fully human (John 1:14; Col. 2:9). Having lived a sinless life, He offered Himself as the atonement for fallen humanity, was physically resurrected from the grave (Luke 24), and now reigns eternally with the Father. He will return to reclaim His Church as His bride (Titus 2:13; Rev. 20:4-6).
  3. We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third Person of the Trinity, equal in divinity to the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, draws individuals toward salvation, and indwells the hearts of believers to empower them to fulfill God’s perfect will (John 14:26; Rom. 8:26; I Cor. 6:19).
  4. We believe the Genesis account of creation as a literal historical event. God created all things through Jesus Christ in six literal days (Gen. 1:1; Ps. 33:6-9). Adam and Eve were created as the first human beings; through Adam’s fall, a sin nature was passed to all humanity, necessitating a Savior.
  5. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It stands as the complete revelation of God to man and serves as our final authority in all matters of truth. Its message is understood through the illumination of the Holy Spirit, revealing a perfectly harmonious testimony of God's will (II Tim. 3:16; Ps. 12:6).
  6. We believe salvation is found exclusively in Jesus Christ. As the Holy Spirit leads an individual to repentance and faith, they are redeemed and their name is recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We believe in the security of the believer, kept by the power of God to persevere in faith (Acts 4:12; Rom. 10:10; Titus 2:11-12).
  7. We believe the Church is a local assembly of baptized believers, unified by the Holy Spirit to exalt the Savior, equip the saints, and evangelize the world (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:3-6). The Spirit provides diverse gifts to the membership to ensure the Church fulfills its calling (I Cor. 12).
  8. We believe "marriage" has a single, divinely ordained meaning: the exclusive union of one man and one woman (Gen. 2:18-25). We believe God’s design for sexual intimacy is reserved solely for this marital bond, and any sexual activity outside of this union is contrary to His command (Heb. 13:4; 1 Cor. 6:18).
  9. We believe that any form of sexual immorality - including but not limited to adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, and the use of pornography - is sinful and falls short of God’s standard (Matt. 15:18-20; I Cor. 6:9-10).
  10. We believe God immutably creates each person as either male or female, and these two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect His image (Gen 1:26-27). Embracing one's biological sex is an essential part of honoring the image of God within.
  11. We believe all human life is sacred, possessing inestimable worth because it is created in the image of God. This value extends to all stages of life, from conception through natural death, and we are called to protect and value every human soul (Psalm 139).
  12. We believe in the promised, victorious return of Jesus Christ. He will defeat the powers of evil, call His Church to Himself, and establish His eternal kingdom. As the final Judge, He will grant the redeemed eternal life in His presence, while the unrepentant will face eternal separation from God (Phil. 3:20; Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20:15).
  13. We believe every person deserves to be treated with love, dignity, and respect. Hateful or harassing behavior is entirely inconsistent with Scripture and the foundational beliefs of Nazaree Full Gospel Church School (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31).
  14. To preserve the spiritual integrity and mission of NFGC School, it is required that all employees and volunteers agree to and abide by these statements of faith, serving as biblical role models to our students and the community (Phil. 2:14-16; 1 Thess. 5:22).
